Welcome to the National University Center for Cybersecurity
At the National University Center for Cybersecurity, we embody excellence in cybersecurity education as a designated National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program.
Since our founding in 2011, we've been dedicated to advancing cybersecurity through rigorous academic programs and hands-on practical experiences that prepare students for immediate impact in the workforce. Our commitment extends beyond the classroom—we actively strengthen the cybersecurity posture of our communities through outreach, student-led initiatives, and partnerships with government and industry.
We champion student success by supporting our competitive cyber team, the Nucl3@r Navigators, which participates in national competitions like the National Cyber League and Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition. Additionally our students have completed over 150 real-world capstone projects, addressing security challenges for small businesses, developing K-12 cybersecurity curricula, and conducting innovative research.
The Center embraces innovation and builds trust through quality academic experiences and professional development opportunities. We make things better by securing grants that bolster community support and K-12 outreach initiatives like SoCal Cyber and GenCyber Camps to cultivate the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
Our diverse and collaborative approach to cybersecurity education reflects National University's vision to be an inclusive and innovative university serving life-long learners who contribute to the positive transformation of society.
As part of the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology (COBET), the center faculty and staff manage the Master of Science in Cybersecurity and the Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity programs.
